Although Feline Immunodeficiency Virus. (FIV+) is a very serious illness, it is NOT a death sentence. Many of my Feline friends have lived long lives with proper care. Please click on the links below to find out what help is available for my sisters and brothers that might live in your house and have this disease.

In early 2002 we learned that a vaccine for FIV has been developed and is available from your Veterinary Doctor.
There are side effects to using this vaccine but if your cat roams outside you need to discuss the pros and cons with your pets vet.
(Larry says if your cat goes outside at all GET THE VACCINE!)
The next page is a Newspaper article from the
San Francisco Chronicle
on Aug.17, 2002 about this vaccine.
